We are, an IT Managed Services Provider, looking for high qualified Engineers to join our team as "SENIOR UNIX/LINUX ENGINEER". We are managing IT infrastructure for many US based organizations.

Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated "SENIOR UNIX/LINUX ENGINEER" will be responsible for installation, upgrades, and migrations of servers on the Linux/Unix/AIX Platforms as required to enhance application security & performance. Oversight and administrative responsibilities for the enterprise ansible/puppet, Identity Management and Infoblox environment. Position will support an enterprise Unix/Linux Server environment on-premise, both physical and virtual and in Microsoft Azure Cloud environment. The purpose of the role is to ensure the availability, stability, and consistent performance, scalability, maintainability, and reliability of our enterprise server environment, for both databases and applications. This is a "hands-on" position requiring strong technical skills, as well as excellent informal leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Position Responsibilities:
• Support & administrate LINUX/HPUX/IBM AIX Server environments with new installation, upgrades and patching
• Support the enterprise Automation environments using Ansible and Puppet
• Responsible for the support and administration of the Infoblox and BIND DNS environments
• Support and administrate UNIX/Linux server nodes within virtualized environments
• Support of Openstack/Citrix Xen virtualized environments
Position Requirements:
• Strong time-management, prioritization, multi-tasking, problem-solving skills
• Ability to think critically, analytically, and strategically.
• Expert experience in administration of Unix Operating systems and variants (HPUX/IBM AIX/RHEL6/7/8, Suse, Centos, Ubuntu, MACOS)
• Experience in administrating DNS, both BIND and Infoblox
• Solid foundation in networking concepts, (Ethernet configuration, NIC bonding, TCP/IP trouble shooting, packet capture/analysis using Tcpdump/Wireshark)
• Experience administrating NTP, NFS Server/Client, SUDO, and LDAP clients
• Experience with global configuration tools such as Ansible and Puppet. Ability to create deployment playbooks for server build and application deployments.
• Experience with SFTP setup and administration
• Experience with shell scripting (i.e sh/csh/ksh/bash), automation programming (i.e. sed, awk, Python) and performance monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting
• Experience deploying Unix/Linux systems within Virtualization Environments
o VMWare
o Microsoft Azure
o OpenSatck
o Citrix Xen
• Working in a ServiceNow environment is preferred
Position Qualifications:
Please list the minimum education and experience required.
• At least 8 years of experience in Unix/Linux server administration
• Education requirement – BA/BS in computer science, engineering or similar relevant field, masters degree preferred.
